Wake up, the Izon nation in Delta

I keep on wondering what’s happening to the Izon nation in Delta state. Since the advent of democracy in 1979, no Izon man has become governor of that state. I dare to ask if there’re no Izon political stakeholders there. After Ex-governor O. J. Ibori, the Izons there didn’t make up any attempt to be governor but Uhrobos’, the Delta Ibos and Isokos’ were in the forefront to rule the state, for the Izons’, no body to show up for it. Are the Izon nation strong in resource control agitations only but not in governance and leadership role there. Are they scared of other tribes’ superiority over them? These are questions begging for urgent answers now that another race is at hand. The Izon nation must take their destiny by themselves, what would they tell their born and unborn children if they turn around to ask them for this course. It’s no surprise for Wike to question why Izon leaders cannot make an Izon man governor in Delta state but championed ‘asawanna’? There must be a way to look inwards to fight this battle of necessity by the Izons there not by violence but through political process. The time is now. The Bayelsa Izons are doing well, they must copy them, I must say.
